SpeedBox 3.2 for Specialized Motors 3.1 B.Tuning is a powerful tuning chip for Specialized e-bikes equipped with 3.1 series motors. It removes the factory-set 25 km/h speed limit and allows pedal assist at unlimited speeds. All actual data such as speed, distance, and battery range remain visible on the display.

How it works

The SpeedBox is installed underneath the controller, inside the frame. Tuning is activated by pressing the WALK button or by using the button combination - + - +. When "35.1 km/h" appears on the display, it indicates the standard speed limit (35 km/h). Deactivate tuning using the same method – you'll then see 25 km/h on the display, and your bike returns to factory settings.

Adjustable maximum speed

You can easily adjust the maximum assist speed by switching riding modes (TRAIL → three down → three up). Every press of the WALK button or spin of the rear wheel raises the speed limit by 5 km/h. The last speed shown is saved after five seconds.

Easy installation

Color-coded connectors make installation straightforward. Clear instructions and video guides are available. Removal is just as easy as installation. For new bikes, it’s recommended to ride at least 10 km before activating the SpeedBox.

The SpeedBox app connects your e-bike and phone via Bluetooth. The app offers real-time ride data, a ride log, and a range of extra features:

You can try out the app in demo mode before purchasing. Your phone must support Bluetooth version 4.0 or newer.
