We do not recommend updating your bike’s software; updating may affect the operation of the box.
How does SpeedBox 3.0 for Brose work?
You can activate the SpeedBox directly from your bike’s controller. By pressing the WALK button, the display will show a value of 9.9 km/h and from that moment you can ride at speeds of 40 km/h, 50 km/h, or even over 60 km/h.
You can deactivate the SpeedBox by pressing the WALK button again. The display will show a value of 2.5 km/h and the speed limit will be reset to 25 km/h. Your e-bike will then work exactly the same as it did before the tuning was installed.
The SpeedBox is also designed for e-bikes that do not have a classic control unit with a WALK assist function. In this case, you can simply use the + - + - button combination and the SpeedBox will activate. You can easily deactivate the SpeedBox the same way.
With SpeedBox 3.0 you can choose your preferred speed limit.
You can set the maximum speed of motor assistance by switching the mode three levels down and then three levels up: TURBO - TRAIL - ECO - OFF - ECO - TRAIL - TURBO. After that, the actual speed limit will appear on the display. You can change the maximum assisted speed by briefly pressing the WALK button or by rotating the rear wheel 360°. A display value of 1.5 km/h corresponds to a limit of 15 km/h, 2 km/h corresponds to 20 km/h, 2.5 to 25 km/h, 3.0 to 30 km/h, 9.9 to 99 km/h, etc. The last value shown will be saved after 5 seconds of inactivity.
Installation:
When you connect the SpeedBox 3.0 for Brose to your e-bike, you will find color-coded connectors that make installation very easy. We have prepared detailed instructions and videos to make installation simpler. Removing the tuning chip is just as easy. If you have any issues with installation or removal, do not hesitate to contact us. If you plan to install the SpeedBox on a new bike, make sure you ride it for at least 1 km before installation.
