How does the PearTune MSO Brose 4.0 work?
The PearTune Brose MSO 4.0 Original Connect is connected to the motor's original connectors using matching plugs. PearTune MSO 4.0 is an advanced tuning device that removes the 25 km/h speed limit for e-bikes and offers a variety of additional features for bikes equipped with a Brose motor. PearTune Brose Original Connect is activated via the light button on your bike’s display.
PearTune is connected between the speed sensor and the display cables. The display power supply is used as the power source for the box. All data, such as current, average, maximum speed, distance traveled, etc., remain accurate. The only difference is that, after installation, you decide how fast you want to ride. The maximum speed is limited only by your pedaling cadence.
With PearTune MSO Brose 4.0, you can determine whether tuning is automatically on or off when the e-bike is started. Version 4.0 also includes a "Lock the Chip" function, which makes the tuning chip virtually invisible to outsiders.

PearTune MSO 4.0 for Brose Motors – Key Features
- No more 25 km/h speed limit
- Maximum speed adjustment: You can set the top speed individually in 1 km/h increments using your e-bike's control buttons (+ and –)
- Accurate speed display even when tuning is active
- Chip Lock: This feature makes the tuning chip practically invisible. You can activate Chip Lock via the e-bike’s control buttons. When enabled, the tuning chip is locked by software and cannot be detected. The bike and display function normally, but tuning cannot be turned on. You can only unlock the chip after a certain period by using a special key combination, after which tuning can be used again.
- Tuning activation: The tuning module can be turned on or off using your e-bike’s control buttons (by pressing the light button or quickly pressing the + and – buttons twice). The display briefly shows whether tuning is enabled or disabled.
- Startup mode: You can choose whether tuning is automatically on or off when the bike is started.
- Chip Reset: If you change the speed sensor or PearTune module, or attach it to another bike, you can reset the chip. You may choose to keep your current settings or restore factory settings.
- Distance traveled correction: When tuning is active, the actual traveled distance is not shown during your ride. PearTune 4.0 lets you define how to add the missing kilometers – for example, only while stopped, during the ride, or both.
- Switching between normal and “STILL ON” versions is possible: In the STILL ON version, tuning is always active as soon as the bike is switched on. This is suitable for e-bikes that don’t have the necessary buttons to control tuning.
