Black Magik is a new type of liquid chain wax based on the highly effective formula of Rex Black Diamond hot wax. It delivers the cleanliness and ultra-low friction benefits of hot waxing without having to remove the chain from the bike.
Black Magik is designed to form a hard, dry-to-the-touch wax layer on the chain surface that does not attract dirt the same way traditional oil-based chain lubricants do. Lubrication remains effective even in demanding and dirty riding conditions.
Black Magik also works exceptionally well as a top-up lubricant for Rex Black Diamond hot wax, but it can just as well be used as a stand-alone chain lubricant.

Use as a stand-alone lubricant
- Thoroughly clean the chain before lubricating.
- Shift the chain onto either the largest or smallest sprocket to create as much chain cross-over as possible. This opens the chain rollers slightly and helps the wax penetrate deeper inside the chain.
- Apply Black Magik generously to the cleaned chain.
- Turn the cranks to help the wax work its way inside the chain.
- Let the wax dry undisturbed overnight before riding.
The perfect top-up for Rex Black Diamond hot wax
Black Magik is also designed to be used as a top-up lubricant for Rex Black Diamond hot wax. It makes chain maintenance between hot wax treatments easier and allows you to continue using wax-based lubrication without removing the chain.
